https://shayskin.ca is an online shop: it sells skincare products, takes payment online and ships them to you. This page states what you can expect from the site itself and what you must not do with it. Anything about your purchase — prices, taxes, shipping, cancellation, refunds — is in the terms of sale, which prevail over this page.

By using this site, you accept these terms

Browsing https://shayskin.ca means you accept this page. If something here does not suit you, do not use the site — call us; that remains the most direct way to reach us.

We may change these terms. The date at the top of the page then changes, and the online version is the one that applies. We do not change them retroactively for an order already placed.

Who owns what you see

The texts, layout, photographs, product pages and the name SHAY SKIN belong to us. You may quote a page by naming the source and linking to it. Reproducing them elsewhere, altering them or using them for another business requires our written permission.

“ZO Skin Health” and the product names are trademarks of their owners. We use them to identify what we sell as an authorized reseller; that gives us no ownership of them.

Product descriptions are informational, not medical advice

The products sold here are cosmetics. What we write about them is meant to help you choose: it makes no diagnosis, does not recommend a treatment for your particular case and does not replace the advice of a physician, dermatologist or pharmacist. Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed.

Some actives are not for everyone — pregnancy or breastfeeding, very reactive skin, photosensitizing medication, isotretinoin, an ongoing dermatological treatment. Read the packaging and the manufacturer's instructions, patch-test on a small area, and when in doubt ask a healthcare professional. If a reaction appears, stop using the product and seek advice.

Ordering on this site

No account to create

You can order without creating an account on this site: we offer none and we ask you for no password. Your cart stays in your browser; it is only sent on when you check out. The checkout itself is hosted by Shopify and may offer to save your details with it — that is its service, not ours, and the choice is yours.

What concludes the sale

Adding a product to the cart concludes nothing. The order exists only once payment is confirmed at checkout, and the order confirmation is the record of it. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a clearly abnormal order (resale quantities, obvious pricing error, suspected fraud): if that happens we tell you and refund you in full.

Prices, stock and photos

Prices are in Canadian dollars, before taxes, which are added at checkout. Stock and prices come live from our sales system, but a product may sell out between the moment you see it and the moment you pay. We take care to describe products faithfully; a display error remains possible. If it affects your order, we tell you before fulfilling it and you remain free to walk away and be refunded.

Photos are there to identify the product. The manufacturer's packaging may change without the formula changing.

Discounts and promo codes

A promo code is used at checkout, under the conditions announced with it — validity, number of uses, eligible products. Unless stated otherwise, codes do not combine with each other and do not apply retroactively to an order already placed.

The purchase itself is governed by the terms of sale and by the shipping and returns page, which prevail over this page if they differ.

What you must not do on this site

Without our written permission, do not use this site to:

• extract its content, prices or images in bulk by automated means, or copy it for another business;
• submit false information, another person's details without their agreement, or fill in our forms repeatedly;
• buy for resale: our products are sold for your personal use;
• try to reach a non-public area, get around a technical limit, or disrupt how the site works;
• publish unlawful, defamatory or misleading content on it, or pass yourself off as us.

Our contact form limits how many submissions come from one IP address. It is not a punishment: it is what stops a bot from drowning out a real request.

Site availability and liability

We keep this site in working order, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption or error. An update, a hosting outage or a network incident may make it unavailable; we cannot compensate you for that. If an outage happens while you were ordering, your order exists only if payment was confirmed.

The site relies on third-party services and links to them: the checkout and payment are hosted by Shopify, and our social media are run by their own companies. We do not operate those services and are not answerable for their content or availability; once you are there, their terms apply.

Our liability for the use of this site is limited as far as the law allows it to be limited. It is not limited for bodily injury, for gross or intentional fault, or for anything the Consumer Protection Act forbids us from excluding — in particular your legal warranties on the products you buy.

Your personal information

What we collect, why, how long we keep it, who receives it and how to access it, have it corrected or withdraw a consent: it is all set out in the privacy policy. You can review your cookie choices at any time through the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page.

Applicable law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec, and any dispute falls to the courts of the judicial district of Montreal. If one clause of this page were held invalid, the others would remain in force.
